Thanks to the Job Ready Graduates scheme, an arts degree today will cost over $50,000. How have five decades of government policy taken us from free education to this?

BREAKING: At Pope Leo XIV’s urging, U.S. Catholic bishops just delivered the strongest rebuke of a sitting president in Church history — condemning Trump-Vance raids as “inhumane” and “dehumanizing” in a 216–5 vote.
NEW: At Pope Leo’s Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trump’s Raids
Nearly all U.S. Catholic bishops united in Baltimore to denounce the Trump administration’s “inhumane” deportation campaign — a near-unanimous, unprecedented moral stand against a sitting president.

Net zero opponents: Sneering elites who want higher taxes, higher prices and bigger government
Forget about carbon emissions — retreating from net zero means higher power costs and higher taxes for all Australians. It's an expensive, elitist culture war.

I expect Part 3 to come out next month. Upshot: any narrative about Trump and Epstein that does not discuss the Plaza Hotel, their modeling agencies, their shared girlfriends, the full timeline of Trump learning about what Epstein was doing, his own statements confirming pedophilia, is a cruel hoax.

Australians who want an independent public broadcaster should read this as a cautionary tale.
We have already seen News Corp, the LNP and billionaires like Rinehart go after the ABC.

After the BBC cave-in, they will now redouble their efforts to tame the ABC - or privatize it. #auspol

GPs get booked up months in advance in rural areas. The Guardian’s articles on “healthcare access hacks” (“just go to a public hospital specialist clinic!”) are tone deaf and suggest a lack of personal experience with the system

I have regular blood tests and CT scans for signs of Myloma and have recently developed a lump and tenderness in my shin so have had to source alternative Gp to investigate

The person apologising for failing to pass on the Sydney neo-Nazi rally protest information is the Deputy NSW Police Commisioner.

He was recently the acting NSW Police Commissioner and applied for the top job.

But 3 months ago he was passed over for the Commissioner's job.

Yes, indeed 😎
