I did what I set out to do, which was get out of my comfort zone by showing off my old (no longer up to my standards for 2D) art and my WIPs!

I'm gonna hop offline for proooobably the rest of the night, and distract myself with food and gaming so I don't regret my decision to post! toodles!

I was unimpressed with the default "Camera up and aim" in Maya when trying to figure out camerawork for my "Ballet Dragon" project (that's been 3+ years in the making. oops!)

Now THIS guy? he was a Zetta pain in my A** to figure out!
I used pixel art from my DS and the spritesheets from the secret boss of Pathera Cantus to figure his Noise Limbs out! (his knees took 3 months, no joke!)

glad I finished this before the anime dropped so I saw I did it right!

after FAFO-ing around in the node editor for the Mass rotational system I did for the talons and the wings, I decided to combine set driven keys and textures to get her ornate glowing markings to toggle of and off with a convenient slider! (node editor image in reply post)

recorded this RIIIGHT before my Weight Painting/Skinning Plugin for Maya completely gave up the ghost! I'm now trying to learn python to rebuild it from the ground up, however the "for loops" are throwing me "for a loop" (pun intended, if I don't laugh I'll cry at this point)

This is Lambelle! I made her after the game @cultofthelamb.bsky.social came out, I had so much fun sculpting every detail! I wanted to rig/animate her, but between Zbrush not letting me place wool cards by hand, & my Maya skinning tool breaking? this is as far as I got.

my latest com work! after making my own Vmodel. a friend of my buddy reached out to me for a Vmodel of his own! and while humans (especially anime-esque ones) are definitely NOT my forte? I'm really glad that he was not only patient with me while making this, but also very happy with the results!

RoBat, oh dear lordy where do I begin? this was my 1st assignment for hard surface modeling and I ended up "Box Modeling" him in Maya. He ended up being a whopping 482 3D parts and 2191 UV maps, manually made! This was before I knew how UDIM's worked!
