James Cameron on how close he came to directing 1993’s Jurassic Park & what he thinks of Steven Spielberg’s adaptation. I love this for the honesty, modesty & graciousness of Cameron’s reflections. (It’s from the latest edition of the estimable Empire magazine.)

Love my Brussel sprouts, but whole heartedly agree that cabbage is awesome.

Travis Hafner Pronk Bar (2006-2007): After a breakout season, Cleveland 1B/DH Travis Hafner received his own candy bar, milk chocolate loaded with crispy rice. "Pronk" was Hafner's nickname, which was a hybrid of his two minor-league nicknames, "The Project" and "Donkey".

Ordered this for my daughter's Christmas gift, because she loves concert tees and Wil and Kev put on a great show. Check out Black Violin when you need some new music.

pickup trucks for the average person should not have been allowed to advance past this. if you need anything bigger, you should have to provide some kind of documentation showing you have the license and need for special heavy machinery, otherwise you get the 1990 toyota hilux

Emails sparked the beginning of our national nightmare.

Perhaps emails will end it.

An under-reported headline. If you're an American, what the Republican Party is doing should disgust you.
Democrats' 2025 election wins go beyond the big races:

In Pennsylvania, Dems swept the top "row offices" in Bucks County, electing the county's first-ever Democratic DA and defeating an incumbent Republican sheriff.

Dems notched victories in county executive races in Erie, Lehigh and Northampton.

If there is a word that describes the second Trump administration, it’s brazen. While I certainly hold open the possibility that dark deeds are being done in secret, one thing that is remarkable is how open and obvious he is with his self-dealing. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/02/o...

They don't, which is why we've said the way to fold it into a broad platform. "We're for fairness, equal protection, a dignified life for all. No one has the right to hassle you for living quietly." Don't rise to the bait on sports. "It's a rare issue that can be decided by the governing bodies."
It's pretty clear that people interpreted the "Kamala is for They/Them" ad as being about the economy as it was about transgender people (if not more). Polling shows people don't like trans women in sports, but voters don't like blatant bigotry against transgender people.
every news outlet and journalist who calls trans rights a losing issue should be forcefed soap and their own regrets

We could afford ACA tax credits AND support American beef ranchers with the billions of dollars going to Argentina, but that doesn’t serve Big Money’s interests.

As South Dakota’s Independent Senator, I’d stand up for the little guy and ACTUALLY look out for Americans.

President Nixon significantly expanded the federal food assistance program, making it truly nationwide by 1973 and increasing participation fivefold 1969-74. While he fell short of his pledge to end hunger in America, he maintains that hunger is a barrier to prosperity and peace.

I never bought into the whole Whitmer thing, and here you see it. Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

“How many families could the ballroom feed?”

“He’s worried about his ballroom, you’re worried about the rent.”

“He’s tearing down a house you paid for.”

How difficult was that?
GOV. WHITMER: “.. no one is worried about building a ballroom in Washington, D.C. What they want is to make sure that they can feed their kids next week.” Most Americans are “never going to step foot in a ballroom over the course of their lifetime.”

I am all for the protests tomorrow but I’m struggling w/ the continued use of the name “No Kings” at this point. It just doesn’t encapsulate everything being protested. It needs a better, broader moniker. No Kings. But also No Cruelty. No Corruption. No Chaos. No Extrajudicial Killings. No Fascism.
