Farage arrives in Scotland today, and it should make our collective stomach heave that this repulsive, dangerous extremist has crossed the border. Amid scapegoating schoolkids and allegations of antisemitism anyone who supports this man is morally in the gutter

My @heraldscotland.bsky.social column
"Farage in Falkirk? It should make our stomachs heave to have him in Scotland"
Nigel Farage’s Falkirk visit sparks outrage, with many Scots saying his presence north of the border should make “our stomachs heave”.

According to Putin - "the demise of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.”

The Soviet Union had once drawn up plans to invade western Europe - now it seems Putin has plans to invade Eastern Europe.

With Ukraine currently holding back the tide against Russia.

After days of reading and listening to people abuse Rachel Reeves I've come to the conclusion that female journalists are jealous because she's better at her job than they are
Male journalists can't stand the thought of a intelligent female will get the UK out of the mire left by the Tories

The absolute state of the BBC news just now - which seems determined to drag the government down over the budget.

Where was all this attention to minute detail and concern for absolute accuracy when the Tories were lying their way through their chaotic reign for 14 years? It's frankly absurd.

“Labour are total bastards. They’ve caused all the problems of the past 2000 years.

Just paraphrasing UK media, including BBC

Does anyone remember this kind of coverage of Tories, when, for 14 yrs, they were lying through their teeth, directing untold billions of public money to their friends etc?

The UK, where the day after a decision to take half a million children out of poverty, the media & political world has been full of sneering at those same children & their families, labelling them as ‘Benefits Street’, while the same people are moaning about a tax on £2m mansions. Shameful stuff.

I see all the headlines today refer to ‘Benefit Street’

What they don’t tell you is 60% of those on benefits are in work.

No outcry on those employers not paying enough or concocting hours to enable people to claim UC.

First it was immigrants. Now it’s those on benefits.
