Finally getting back into swimming after like 3 years, and obviously I'm going to be slower than where I left off, but OOF. My cruising speed 100m split is at least 15 seconds behind where it used to be. Brutal

It was so good!! A++ floating, hasn't changed very much. All the same tanks, similar vibe, no added claims that they'll cure all your illnesses. Definitely obvious they're still revitalizing a space that was closed for 2 years (needs some more cleaning and airing out), but I think they'll get there
It's under new management, so it's possible it won't be good anymore, but I'm being hopeful!! Booked an appointment, so I'll find out on Saturday

Current verdict on the new bubble tea place: mixed feelings
I got the peach lemon oolong. Excellent flavor, fresh boba with great texture. BUT the pieces of peach were too large to fit through the straw, so I had to wait until I finished the drink and then fish them out which was strange

It's being turned into a different bubble tea franchise, so like net zero change in bubble tea I guess. But the new place is fancier and more expensive and has a weirdly heavy focus on floral flavors and I don't like it ugghghhhhhg

The difficult part about visiting Singapore has been the lack of jaywalking. Jaywalking is basically everyone's favorite local pastime back home, so imagine the pain in my soul each time I'm at intersection when there are no cars, but the red standing-still person icon is lit and I cannot cross 😔

The water polo finished on Wednesday, but there are other World Aquatics competitions still happening and today we went to the ultra high dive. Which is....absurd. How are these people real

Went to the Singapore zoo, including the Night Safari portion, and got to see so many amazing exibits. My easy favorite though was the BATS. Giant, beautiful flying fox bats eating fruit adorably while so close to me 😍🦇

experienced our first big tropical thunderstorm of the trip! not sure if the vid does it justice, but the upper wall of the aquatic center is open, so we got to see the rain just BUCKETING down
