Reinstate trust in the teaching profession. That might just be the perfect place to start in fixing the teacher shortage.

I live on the outskirts of Sydney with a National Park out the back. Our house insurance went up approximately 40% this year.
Australia Institute polling finds almost one in five Australians admit their home is uninsured or underinsured.
That represents around 1.4 million homes at risk.

I’ve never understood why truth in advertising doesn’t apply to political parties. 😡
The Liberal Party got caught lying—again. Why? Because our laws let them. Truth in political advertising should be non-negotiable.

Today was mainly a day of reading, a bit related to work (❤️ Biesta!), and a bit related to pleasure. Also worked a little on a literature review for entrepreneurship education. I do not celebrate the Invasion Day public holiday.

I watched a lot of the AO this year (as usual), including a day session at Rod Laver Arena. I did not watch the Men’s Final last night.
At Bounces overnight, I wrote about how many folks here at the #AusOpen —and many more at home—are left waiting to exhale as Alexander Zverev remains in contention.
