Hey there! I'm Shane Buckner, a photographer who calls Houston home. My first love is nature and landscape photography, but I enjoy it all. Looking forward to sharing more of my journey here.

Once I had captured the Canadian Rockies' beautiful night sky, I waited for dawn to paint the wispy clouds & Pyramid mountain. This I treasure: Alone in nature, my only companions the calls of the wild, when life is mysterious, exciting & profound.

On the drive back to San Diego from Mammoth, this scene caught my eye and begged to be photographed.

Another #Stunday is here and almost gone already! How do these weekends just disappear as soon as they start?

Morning light filters through the Spanish moss in the canopy of the big cypress bayou. These southern swamps have become a very special place to me as I’ve returned here every autumn for the last 6 years. I think I’ll start sharing more from the floating forests and the haunting beauty that is holds

These flowers blooming on the south rim of the Grand Canyon seemed like a fitting addition to the #BlueSkyArtShow theme of #Spring today!

This building in #Toronto is nicknamed Marilyn Monroe. It’s such a fascinating building to shoot. It has many good angles but I love this one as it shows its curves the best and it captures the soul of this building.

My plan for this summer is to do more star photography again like this one on the California coastline. I haven’t done much the past summers and I need to get back into it.

A long exposure of the beautiful Öxarárfoss. It is small and peaceful compared to many of the incredible Icelandic falls, but well worth visiting.
