Trump's T1 phone was already gaudy but it's shaping up to be a bit scammy too. Who'd have thunk?

Proud of this endorsement, because yes local elections do matter. If you want to see change in our country that starts from the ground up, would you consider donating to a good cause?

I find it infinitely more difficult to take someone seriously when they say "nucular" instead of "nuclear". One is a word defined in the English dictionary. The other is a narrative tool to demonstrate Homer Simspon's lack of intelligence.

Please, things are stressful enough as is. Don't add to it.

"4 in 5 French consumers would buy a more repairable product over their favourite brand"

Whether we're trying to save money, become self-sufficient, learn how something works, or reduce our carbon footprint, the message is the same: Let us fix our stuff.

A bag of Cheetos typically has a 40/60 snack-to-air ratio. Chester Cheeto calls this "puff protection". I think he's feeding us lies.

Come to think of it, this isn't the first Cheeto-themed windbag to have lied to me...

Part 2 of our collaboration with @lumafield.bsky.social and @nostarchpress.bsky.social is live! There's a little challenge at the end: can you find the capacitor, transformer, and battery in the Polaroid Flip?

A vast amount of cheap—what I'd call junk—electronics are thrown away every day. If it's easy to buy, it's easy to throw away because it'll have zero resale value and no sentimental value.

I'll leave something in my basket and see if I still want it in a couple of days. The answer is often "no".

PSA: HomePod tweeters are excellent speakers. Those threads at the bottom aren’t just for securing the tweeters to the HomePod frame, they’re also the speakers positive and negative terminals.

We teamed up with @lumafield.bsky.social & @nostarchpress.bsky.social to put together a crash course on reading CT scans.

I'm very proud of what we've achieved together. I hope budding engineers and tinkerers alike will find it useful.

I love Apple's attention to detail. They'll spend time and money on internal aesthetics that most will never see.

I also love shattering that illusion whenever I can. Underneath that shiny heat spreader, the M4 SoC looks decidedly un-Apple like in that puddle of bland green.

Apple's C1 modem isn't on the bleeding edge of chip fabrication technology but it comes darn close and it's fascinating to see under x-rays.

There was a time when I’d be eyeball deep in .ini files trying to get my rickety old PC to run Oblivion by stripping the graphics settings to the bone. It blows my mind that I can now play Skyrim on Ultra settings on a @frame.work 13…

I feel old.

The iPhone 16e is rated for 26 hours of video playback when compared to the iPhone 15's 20 hours. And no wonder, look at the size of that battery!
