This seems like the most straightforward and also basically accurate message.
instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

Listen Kaine, Hassan, King, Cortez-Masto, Durbin, Shaheen, Rosen, and Fetterman. You're NOT gonna take away my 2025 election joy. We voted in that election for folks to FIGHT for us. That doesn't include YOU.
YOU are what we voted AGAINST last Tuesday. So I'm gonna hang on to that.

In reference to an earlier post, I suggested those Senators that voted with Republicans should either have their constituents spit on them or they shouldn't be surprised if their constituents spat on them. I retract that statement. Nobody should be spat upon. I apologize for my vulgarity.

All of the bad shit you are reading today will continue thanks to the 8 (?) or 10 (?) Democrats that decided to give in to the Republicans thereby doing away with the ACA subsidies and making health care UN-affordable. Dems need to say goodbye to 2026 and hello fascism.

I’m a NO on the Senate’s so-called “deal.”
It does nothing to address the GOP health care affordability crisis crushing families.
There is money to build ballrooms, there is money to help Argentina, but suddenly nothing can be done to help Americans struggling to keep up with healthcare costs.

Any Democrat who "trusts" notoriously deceitful Republicans to keep their word on an ACA vote deal is too naive/stupid to be in office.
Let's fix that next time they are up for election. #PrimaryTheIdiots

Woke up this morning to freezing temps, falling snow, and news the Dems caved. What a morning. Are the 10 that voted with Republicans so stupid that they think a vote on extension of the ACA subsidies will make it so, since Thune has already said Republicans won't agree to it, just a vote, which is

Why in the world would CNN ask George Santos to come on their show. That's the problem. They give these fucks credence when they are not due any.

Where in the fuck did all the historic artwork and priceless furnishings go, including the gold leaf Steinway piano that was presented to FDR from the Steinway family?
Did Trump steal all this when he demolished the East Wing?
Why aren't Dems demanding to know?

Here's an idea. In the "old" days, stores gave struggling customers "credit" so they could have something to eat. No interest charges. Pay when you can. If you show your grocery your SNAP card, you should be able to get some food. Okay, yeah, it's a dumb idea. Problem solving isn't easy.

According to the NYT the Supreme Court doesn't give a shit about people going hungry. They sided with Trump on stopping the use of funds to help SNAP recipients. I want to know their rationale. How do they justify that? It has become so political it needs to be dismantled and rebuilt from scratch.

I'm sure I read something this morning about Trump having his hush money conviction moved to Federal Court? Does that make sense? Once you're convicted in one court how is it legal to move it to another? I mean State to Federal and visa versa.
