Messi's Miami 2.0 could be very different
The upcoming seasons of Messi's Inter Miami will be about building a lasting legacy and that should mean a younger team with fewer journeymen.

“Pochettino knows what he is doing. If he didn’t care or wasn’t committed he could make his life easy by calling up the same old squad every time. He is doing it the hard way, trying to make sure he hasn’t missed any hidden gems or not noticed any red flags."

Poch is no 'phony', he's building a squad
The USMNT are still far from the level needed but this window has shown that Mauricio Pochettino knows exactly what he is doing.

The disrespect shown to Pochettino has been absurd. There is method not madness in the work that he has been doing for the USMNT - column here www.thedailysoccer.com/p/poch-is-no...

Maybe we'll get less of the hysterical anti-Poch stuff now. He's not on vacation. He's not just picking up a pay check and taking it easy. Those were always silly insults. Things are starting to come together. But still a long way off being what the USMNT hopes to be in June.

Haji Wright - take a bow. Nothing like a confident striker - and he's brimming with it.

That's a really good finish from Wright - technique and the confidence to use it. There actually is going to be some real competition for that number 9 spot.

Messi is paid $20.45 million by Inter Miami and also earns from a revenue-sharing agreement with MLS partners Apple and Adidas who were both heavily involved in the ASG. A 20 minute cameo and a few autographs would have kept everyone happy. League ultimately had no choice but to enforce their rule.
