Stephen Miller says they are “actively looking at” suspending the writ of habeas corpus, which is only allowed when the US has been invaded or during an insurrection, which would not allow people to challenge their incarceration in court if they are arrested and detained.

Trump's approach to everything is to dismantle systems and make people negotiate with him personally. For everything. Even with tariffs, which loves for some reason, the main goal isn't necessarily the tariffs, but to become the single veto point through which all policy flows.
