It’s OK guys we can trust Republicans to provide a clean bill
Buried inside the deal to reopen government is a provision that would give Senators private right of action to sue for millions in damages over their phone records being analyzed by Jack Smith's team.

The point of transition isn’t to become an uwu beautiful uwu lady or hunk of a man (it’s nice if that happens tho). The life of an ugly and Whole woman is worth living. It is misogyny to believe that only the life of a beautiful woman is worth living. You have to become Whole.

This is why people—even irreligious people!—think if you get sick, especially chronically sick, you must have done something wrong.
It’s a way to reassure themselves. It’s comforting bullshit (that appears nowhere in the book they claim to love).

this is punishment for electing Mamdani btw
SCHUMER is on the floor now making this offer to end the shutdown:
Clean CR
Bipartisan "minibus" of approps bills
1-year ACA funding extension
Bipartisan cmte to negotiate on health care
"This is a reasonable offer that reopens the government, deals with health care affordability."

Starving people out of spite is just the most special flex. I am so embarrassed to even be a human being. Our depravity knows no bounds.

It can’t last forever. People can get sick enough to make change. Example: Romania

I think it is increasingly obvious that federal workers in the beltway + inconveniences at airports were the determinants of this shutdown. You can try to spin 5D logic on this but ultimately it was the dems willing to sellout everyone else for that.

My thought exactly. It’s so oppressive it takes my breath away. I follow the rules, vote & protest only to see men who violate women & children ascend to power only to further break law. Now arguing nonsense to starve poor out of *spite.*

The number of my friends donating plasma to live. Literally giving their blood, sweat AND tears to be able to eat. This country is so fucked up. Why are we even paying taxes???
People took time off during the shutdown because their bills didn’t disappear. People literally had to call out so they could drive uber or donate plasma so they didn’t lose their cars and homes

Starve the corporations, not your neighbours.
We must Move Our Money, away from the forces of destruction aiding this regime & into our communities. From Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday, folks are collectively committing to avoid Target, Amazon and Home Depot. If this leaves you $ to spare, local food banks, shelters, & community groups need it.

I don't think it's cowardice. I think that they are OK with what the GOP is doing. The sooner folks reconcile with this, the better.

I know quite a few folks who look to melatonin as a safe sleep aid, this is disturbing.
Long-teeth Melatonin use associated with much higher risk of heart problems and death
Think melatonin is safe? New research reveals a hidden heart risk
Long-term melatonin use for sleep problems may come with unexpected heart dangers. Researchers found that chronic users were almost twice as likely to die and 3.5 times more likely to be hospitalized for heart failure. Though melatonin is widely regarded as harmless, experts now urge caution with extended use.

My partner is a federal employee. He's been working for over a month without pay. It's been a struggle, but I've supported the Dems in this shutdown because I knew how bad losing ACA subsidies would hurt people.
Now we've been suffering... for nothing. We're in a hole & people still lose healthcare

"As someone working in law, it’s heresy to say this, and it might even kill my chances of a career... But as a trans person, and someone fighting for the rights of my community, I refuse to remain silent. To me it just seems obvious: a heavily prejudiced society produces prejudiced institutions."
It’s no surprise that only 31% of trans people trust a legal system built to enforce prejudice, says Jess O’Thomson.
