The operation of the machine has indeed grown quite odious. I can't help but hear the words of Mario Savio and his "Machine Speech" repeating in my head. Maybe it's because there's a need for bodies on the gears. Or maybe it's because Timelessness by Fear Factory is currently on repeat. Go listen.

This year I spent my birthday being tortured by the optometry clinic at my local VA. Yay me! I don't recommend pigment dispersion syndrome to anyone out there listening. Combined with inefficient oil duct issues, my eyes are a power house of torturous tests needed each year.

Americans have extremely short memories, so we have to make sure we keep this stuff as fresh as possible in the hopes of repercussions actually coming to these people.
Important to know that these cuts kick in right after the 2026 midterms. That’s how you know they know it’s bad.

Here's Harley Miller. He died when the civilian contractor plane he was in flew into a mountain. He was going to the dentist. He survived the crash, but was trapped on the mountainside and succumbed to the elements before help could arrive.

This is Kip Jacoby. We went everywhere together until we got sent to separate units. I went to Hawaii and joined the 25th CAB, he went to Georgia and joined the 160th SOAR. Now the whole world can watch his death in the 2005 crash of Turbine 33 over and over in the movie Lone Survivor. Miss ya bud.

I have a sincere hope that one day the VA will discover that other genres of visual entertainment exist besides Westerns. Every single visit (and they are frequent) is an aural bath in the fetid swamp of the American western movies and shows. Although, at least it isn't Fox, like back in the army.

I'm not into gatekeeping sex specific spaces, but does anyone else find it weird that Nancy Mace has made it her entire identity to "keep men out of women's spaces" when her entire claim to fame is being a woman that invaded the men's space known as The Citadel? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

I find it pretty amusing that enough people are marking the VA newsletter email as dangerous that Google warns me each time I get one. It's not like I read that tripe, Dougie lied straight to our faces regarding cuts to services, why would I believe anything else while he's at the helm?
