When the industry says "energy" they mean fossil fuels - a performative statement.
Because fossil fuels are so wasteful, going from fossil fuels to electricity will on its own save huge amounts of energy. This dramatically reduces the amount of renewable energy we need to build compared to today.
Have we been duped by the primary energy fallacy?

Critics of renewables often say that we cannot possibly replace the vast amount of fossil fuel we currently use with clean energy.

The good news is that we don’t have to. My article in Medium explains why.

Your daily reminder that Trump absolutely can fund SNAP through contingency funds.

He absolutely can prevent 42 million Americans — including 20 million children — from going hungry next month.

He is choosing not to. Don’t let him lie his way out of this.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Trump says delaying passage of the Big Billionaire Bill is costing Republicans votes? People, the bill is going to cost you the lives of your voters.
Predictable that they express their conscience and then vote for the bill anyway--at 4am when nobody is watching.
