From the DM’s…

If there was any doubt left that Smith’s anti-trans policies were anything more than craven politics…

If this is accurate it means she’s delayed robbing charter rights to try and distract from another massive financial scandal.

WOW!

Smith really is rattled about recall!

Despite the gofundme myth being debunked & even unions making it clear they aren’t organizing anything, Smith announced that she’s looking at ways to make recall rules less accessible!

You know, the recall rules she just re-wrote

Deterioration of services on the public side is a feature not a glitch. The UCP are trying to get the public side to fail. They created the surgical centres, then tilted the field in their favour for staff and resources. Today would be a good day to demand a public inquiry into the UCP/ AHS mismgmt.

Wages not keeping up with costs, so they struggle to afford the basics, is the number one issue for most folks - the UCP has not plan to do anything, except vote against our ideas.

Today the UCP voted against tip protection and raising the lowest minimum wage in the country. #ableg

Abstenions appeared to have been:

NDP MP Gord Johns
NDP MP Lori Idlout
Conservative MP Shannon Stubbs
Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux

All other opposition MPs voted against, except for Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, who voted “yea” alongside the Liberals.
🚨 NO ELECTION 🚨

The vote barely squeaked by thanks to abstentions.

Final tally: 170 yeas, 168 nays
Could we be getting an ELECTION for Christmas?

Well, the Liberals still need one more “yes” vote to avoid that (or two abstentions), making the vote that’s taking place in two hours a real nail-biter.

Here’s where things stand right now, with a little help from @supriya.bsky.social:

"what, if any, evidence was there from studies that showed CSFs had reduced costs and wait-lists and improved patient outcomes in any of the other jurisdictions that already had hybrid public-private surgery systems?

The answer was: None. There were no studies, no evidence."

Yes they are…
Govt not posting it publicly.

You can get your knee and shoulder fixed faster, but have to wait longer for your cancer surgery times.

Govt knows and refuses to acknowledge (there’s no profit to be had for their friends treating those surgical conditions)
Are cancer surgery wait times still increasing in Alberta? They were earlier in the year.

Not because transgender persons are harmful, but because the UCP is distracting you from their mountain of failures.
