i'm afraid it's simply always good when you get to the final boss of a game and the boss is like "ENGAGING HEGEL STANCE: DIALECTIC DESTRUCTION CANNON" and shoots you with a fucking beam. it makes no sense but it's so good every time.

i feel there’s been a conscious effort by silent hill fans to not publicly acknowledge that halfway through the new game you get a tutorial that says “press L3+R3 to go Beast Mode” and then you press it and you go Beast Mode

while we're at it, the stories about evil ai's taking over the world or whatever were also metaphors. they also were not literally about evil programs that will kill us all. im starting to think the origin of this problem is people who can't read properly.

do ai people know that those old scifi stories about robots being oppressed or whatever were like, metaphors. yknow about real people, who actually exist. they weren't literally about how robots will be oppressed in the future. that would be stupid.

dude linux is easy. just open up the deb manager and install the flatpak. if that doesn’t work try wrapping it with blorb and running it via scruntfix. if blorb doesn’t work then use jumble. just use jumble for it. run jumble in a sandbox and sudo it. jumble can do that no prob. linux is easy just u

the average ps3 game was 7 hours of dogshit you would never play again. the average ps5 game is 70 hours of modestly less unpleasant dogshit that you will also never play again. they arent spending more money to make the games better, theyre just making them longer. why would i want that.

a few years ago it feels like it became passe to be like “yeah big shooter games are basically all propaganda,” maybe even a reductive point to make. now they’re literally doing “joining ice basically makes you master chief” and i feel maybe we should have hammered it in more.
