This is actually why I won’t eat pigs. They are genetically so similar to us, and they give us so much - insulin, heart valves, countless medical advances through testing, and now kidneys. How can we disrespect them by eating them too? No judgment if you do, but just my take on it.
Surgeons in Boston successfully transplanted the kidney of a genetically modified pig into a 66-year-old man with kidney failure last month, Massachusetts General Hospital announced. It's the fourth transplant of its kind in the U.S., and is part of a new clinical trial sanctioned by the FDA.

Rather than magick on a national level, my guidance has been to focus on the soul of the land of our towns, states and regions, with the intention of cleansing, protection and blessing amid chaos. State birds, flowers, and minerals can be helpful allies to call on.
