@lacrimamundi.bsky.social Did you get my earlier message? I would be happy to send you a copy of my novella. Just let me know where to send it and what format you would like it in (epub, pdf, docx). Thank you!!

Novella is off to my editor. If anyone interested in reading it, please let me know. I'm looking for Alpha and Beta readers and praying I can figure out how to get a few printed in time for WorldCon. It would be my dream to get these in the hands of some of my favorite authors.

Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch novels are pure gold. Absolute palette cleansers. @titusw24.bsky.social voices him in my head in every book now.

Don Winslow's The Winter of Frankie Machine has everything: an anti-hero you really fall in love with, mobsters, dialogue straight out of a Frank Capra film, action, suspense, and a story about another time, when life seemed simpler. My first 5-star read of 2025. Don Winslow NEVER disappoints!!

So everyone know: THIS IS A NO POLITICS ZONE. If I wanted to get rage-induced, I'd go back to Twitter. Keep your politics away from me please. I want to talk about books and writing and film and music. Nothing else, thanks.

"There comes a time in a man's life, he figured, the infamous midlife crisis, when a guy has to face the reality that what he has is all he's gonna get, and he needs to find his peace and his happiness in his life as it is."

I don't mean to unfollow you here at bluesky. I just cannot deal with politics any more. This country is fucked and I'm tired, after 60 years, of fighting for things others just don't seem to want. FUCK 'EM. I'm done. Will keep following on Twitter.

Day #1/24
@thatcalamity.bsky.social is the author of the first story, THE PATCHSKIN WOMAN, a sad tale of human ignorance and the spirits of nature that always surprise, confound, and enlighten us. I'm grateful for the happy ending of the work, though. So necessary in this time.

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

Last and certainly not least: First book of a trilogy that brought me to tears. Heartbreaking love story.

Book 1 of the Vlad Taltos series. Probably my favorite snarky assassin and his equally snarky familiar. FUN!!!

So a reminder:

It’s not ‘liberals’ saying Hegseth abuses women. It’s his mom.

It’s not ‘liberals’ comparing Trump to Hitler. It’s his vice-president.

It’s not ‘liberals’ calling Musk a liar and a racist. It’s his own child.

For the record.

So I apparently misnumbered at #9. Therefore, we shall be celebrating 21 days of books that influenced me, not 20. 😐🙄😜😀
