Trans people are such a threat to authoritarianism because we prove that so many of the rules are completely made up. There is no set way that you're supposed to live. If we can refuse to be assigned a gender we don't like, we can refuse other things that are "set in stone," too.
The more I observe this the more I internalize the fact that trans people are so fucking punk just for being who we are.
Truly, these pitiable, miserable humans, drifting and desperate to outsource their identities? Could never be me.

The worst thing about these current times is discovering how many people really truly love authoritarianism and fascism, even when it hurts them. They want to be told what to do. They want a path that's set for them so they don't have to make their own choices. It's disgusting and... sad.
