Looking back at the last 6 seasons as an increasingly disabled queer Black farmer is... Whew, real humbling. Also frustrating. And yet, I can't wait to get busy planning for this next one.

I've built 3¹/² farms in 6 seasons. I've lost most to white supremacy and emotional violence. 1/x
Meh!
Two of the prop shop lights crapped out. Waiting for a delivery. Worst timing, c'mon now.

2 weeks out and we're looking good... Food comes from plants!

As a small business owner random shipping decisions crack me up. Somebody on eBay shipped me this tablecloth in a plastic bag with nothing but a shipping label on it. 😂 🤣

This amazing Black woman means the world to so many of us. A constant advocate and protector of Black femmes (which means she advocates for everyone).

Time to fight cancer round 2. If you have any change to spare or time to share we sure would appreciate it.

Damn it feels good to be back in my duds. That executive director clothing is such a pain.

Thinking about climate grief. I remember during the heat dome when my plants ceased to be plants.

Their cellular structure collapsed. It's the most I have ever felt despair and panic as a farmer.

Farmers are not okay. The land is not okay. The plant and animal relatives are not okay.

What a very long day. 13 trays and 20 varieties later... 🌶️🫑✨

First, everyone gets a bath in weak chamomile tea. This helps cut down on any potential fungus or bacteria while also helping to soften the seed coat. So, improved germination. 🎉 🌱

I use a lot of stainless steel sauce cups on the farm. They are cheap and easy to sanitize.

It's pepper seeding day!

Yeah. One of my USDA funded projects got shelved today. So, that's the that on that.

I'll never cease to be grateful for the ability to toss together a tea blend.

Chamomile, hyssop, rose and linden oat milk latte. It's been a day or 700. 😩😮‍💨😰☕ 🌿

Time is so much taffy. Inexorably slow and then the more you pull it suddenly snaps. I have spent two days in rooms with agricultural service providers. When did it become the case that everyone in ag knows who I am? Where did the last 6 years go?

Stealing cat photos is gross, but stealing memorial posts from grieving cat owners for likes and shares is truly repulsive. This account has been reported thousands of times and I'm so disappointed in bluesky that it is allowed to continue. 🧵

Cooking with things I grew, preserved, and bartered always feels and tastes best to me!

Ooh. Just updated my settings to prompt me to add alt tags before I can post. Nice!

I always find this thing embarrassing. It explains my interconnected work decently well. This leaves off in 2023. In 2024 I declined to partner with this org again because of their insufficient stance on the occupation of Palestine. So, we won't be getting a cool update for 2024+. #Blackfarmer
