“Bin Chicken” is now published in Nature Methods! It substantially improves genome recovery through rational coassembly 🧬🖥️. Applied to public 🌍 metagenomes, we recovered 24,000 novel species 🦠, including 6 new phyla.

Very excited to have our first #singlecell data paper out in the world. Dr. Valadez Ingersoll worked so hard on this piece and we learned so much about #coral #symbiosis!

Leveraging the GBR-MGD, we find that seawater microbes can reliably predict fisheries management practice. Microbes indicative of No Take Marine Reserves (NTMRs) have streamlined, low-GC genomes, fished reefs do not—turned out to be very interesting!
