I drive an electric car but my wife has an ICE vehicle I had to fill with gas today after grocery shopping. Oddly enough, I noticed that not only have gas and egg prices NOT decreased, they have increased since the change at the WH. I am starting to think electing Hitler Jr. was not about inflation.

Short 3 hour trip so my beach dogs can play in some of that fluffy, white, cold stuff.

Perfect weather for a SUP adventure in the Santa Cruz harbor. Hard to believe it is January.

Ushering in the New Year in my happy place (Nisene Marks), the serenity of which I think I will need more and more these next four years. Grateful to live in an area that offers me such an incredible escape, among many others. The goal of this year: focus on the positive and filter out the rest.

The USS Palo Alto is a concrete tanker commissioned at the end of WW1 but never saw action. Instead it was intentionally grounded as an entertainment vessel at Seacliff State Beach. The pier going out to the Palo Alto was lost due to storm damage a couple of years ago. #MyCAHellscape.

I am grateful for every day that I get to wake up in my California home.

Just joined so thought I would try posting. With all that has happened, these are a few reasons that I am happy to be a Californian and I never plan on leaving.
