The only camera I have where this is a concern is my GA645. My novel approach is that I leave the lens hood on it and don’t use the cap.

I recently spent a quiet day at Solitude resort and finished off a roll of Acros II with these two frames.

I read that last sentence in the voice of King Julian from Madagascar when he is saying apologies are for the weak and wrong. It made the whole thing much more cheery.

As someone with 7 Nikons, I feel slightly offended by your “gel” comment above, but I agree on the f4 thing. I like a fast lens sometimes, but only if I’m focused at infinity and trying to get a usable shutter speed out of a slow film. Even then I try not to ever use them wide open.

You would think that republican politicians would pause to reflect when they see THOUSANDS coming out to protest their policies in Utah of all places. But I bet they won’t.

I hear you on the pollution and politics- thankfully in black and white the pollution just looks like fog. On the other front, I was pleasantly surprised at how many turned up for the ICE Protest over the weekend…things may be (very) slowly changing.

Very true. I almost never worry about focus when I shoot in half frame because the focal plane is so deep. I just use hyperfocal with it and I’m rarely disappointed. Having the rangefinder is nice when I want to take the occasional portrait though.

I’ve heard all good things about them too but never shot with one. There is a good review of the Perkeo II on the Analog Insights YT channel with example photos. I’ll admit to being apprehensive about scale focus on medium format, but there are also coldshoe mountable rangefinders out there.
