On Sunday my tiny bits of 2 wind farms generated nearly twice as much power as I used. And saved me £1.22 off my electricity bill to boot! 💚

I learnt that in the UK home solar is WAY more common in rural areas than in cities and major towns. I even made a cool map of it.

North Westminster has the lowest (200) and South Cambridge has the most (7700). 30x as many!
What's something interesting you learned today?

Me and (most of) my mates got Glastonbury tickets. Feeling very happy.

My daughter wasn’t so lucky, but she can work there, I’m too old for all that malarkey.

UK Parliament wants to know what's needed to really scale community energy. I will be sharing my thoughts. Ripple's community energy model funded a £42m project last year, that's nearly double the entire rest of the sector (£24m) put together.

Scale matters. www.thenews.coop/mps-launch-c...

My use of twitter has fallen loads in recent months. And I deleted Facebook off my phone ages ago.

I’ve actually enjoyed easing off social media tbh and am now a bit wary of getting into another platform.

If you’re trying to get your head around how marginal pricing for electricity works - check out this fab video from Simon Clark (plus there’s a bit on Ripple Energy towards the end) 💚

I’ve not really worked on solar before so visiting Derril Water solar park mid-construction today was a joy. Row upon row of posts waiting for the racking and then eventually the panels.
It’ll be 42MW, 75,000 panels over 175 acres. Owned by nearly 10,000 people.
