Wish I’d known 30 years ago that forgetting what I was saying mid-sentence and misjudging when to jump into a conversation wasn’t a personal flaw—it was ADHD and the limits of my working memory. The years I’ve sent at work feeling inept, and guilty - what a waste but hey ho better late than never 😀

The reality of claiming PIP: a 🧵

1) To claim PIP you have to describe in excruciating detail all the ways you cannot function. This means that you are forced to think in very detailed terms exactly how disabled you are, which often has a devastating effect on the mental health of the applicant 1/?

Really really hate the language of 'protecting the vulnerable' that seems to be all over the place at the moment. We are all vulnerable in different circumstances (and yes might need protecting). BUT person should never be defined as that and that alone #language
