I did it because the government isn’t.

This is what I found.

Making tariffs transparent. A new WI bill would make it clear that tariffs are taxes on US consumers by requiring large retailers to list tariffs on receipts like sales tax.
The same way that the sales tax is disclosed to consumers, the bill would require large retailers to itemize the added cost of tariffs on receipts and invoices.

For more, @fayeparks.bsky.social sat down with state Rep. Andrew Hysell.

Christian Zionist beliefs give evangelicals a language to understand foreign policy and their theology is rooted in supremacy, not reality. I write about these and other lessons from my Christian Zionist upbringing for Truthout.
If you’re Trump, supporting Israel is simply good for business, and he can bring his Christian base along by letting the Christian Zionists explain away war, ethnic cleansing, and genocide as spiritual matters.

"Framing resistance to housing reform as concern for 'public trust' or 'zoning protections' reflects a longstanding rhetorical tradition in Madison — one that dresses exclusion in the language of procedural integrity."

Why Madison’s housing gatekeepers are getting uncomfortable
The argument that neighborhood preservation is a civic virtue treats structural exclusion as an unfortunate but immovable byproduct of planning. That narrative deserves scrutiny.
