The collapse and devastation of Sudan is designed by the UAE, backed by all the usual suspects.

Horrific situation in Sudan’s El Fashir, which has fallen to the RSF. Massacre after massacre of civilians; civilian men being asked if they’re soldiers and being summarily executed in the streets.

I’m one of more than 300 writers who have signed a pledge not to write for New York Times Opinion until the paper takes accountability for its role in the genocide of the Palestinian people.

The genocide is not over. We are dealing with overseers and executioners of an extermination campaign of children.

According to @sanasaeed.bsky.social, mainstream outlets use stories that highlight the toll of human suffering in Gaza to defend themselves when accused of bias.

“These types of ‘good stories’ still diminish the role of the United States and Israel in the genocide itself.”

You’re here and not necessarily hearing / reading the experiences of Palestinians in Gaza in real time.

Here are just some of the tweets from Palestinians in Gaza as Israel turns this into one of the bloodiest nights of the genocide.

yeah the woman who starred in a film about the cruel discarding of aging women in the entertainment industry in exchange for the hot new piece of ass losing to, well, pretty much that ..is too on the nose.
Demi Moore losing to Mikey Madison should be a post-credits scene to The Substance.

Israel wants to extend the war, not the ceasefire.

It’s campaign of starvation - a war crime - is presented just as a tactic to extend the first phase of the ceasefire.

Israel wants to extend the first phase because the second phase would require it to withdraw its troops from Gaza & end the war.

There is something pathologically cruel—distinctly Israeli, in its calculated brutality—about starving a population that is 99% Muslim on the second day of Ramadan.

This is actually insane? They weren’t even US citizens?

Their deaths—at the hands of Israel—are being used as a war cry for continuing the extermination of Palestinians. It’s become abundantly clear that the culture and embrace of genocide in this country won’t be dismantled.

Incredible thing to write and publish while a video, taken by an IDF soldier, of dogs eating the carcass of a murdered Palestinian circulates on social media—not an outlier of Israeli treatment of the Palestinians they’ve killed, but the norm.

Constantly witnessing the humanization of every Israeli - by our media, elected officials, everyone - through the genocidal dehumanization of every single Palestinian is really goddamn exhausting.

The NYT is single-handedly responsible for one of the foundational lies that was used to justify the genocide of Palestinians: ‘Screams without words’.

Between that & this, it really should end any discussion about the breadth of *intentional complicity* in genocide manufacturing by the NYT.

According to the National Campaign to Recover the Bodies of Martyrs, the Israelis currently hold the bodies of at least 665 Palestinians in Israeli cemeteries and morgues, some since the 60s & 70s.

59 bodies are of children and 259 bodies have been held since Oct 7. /1

A ceasefire doesn’t end a genocide.

From the Herero & Nama genocide to the Holocaust to the man-made famines that forged the global south, genocidal projects often achieve the most harm and extermination not through bullets and bombs but the purposeful spread of disease and starvation.

This is the first report I’ve seen from a U.S. newsroom about the accelerated US-backed Israeli slaughter that’s been taking place in north Gaza over the last few days.

According to Palestinian health workers & journalists, the Israelis seem to be using new weapons that *vaporize* any human body within a few hundred meters in North Gaza.

Gaza has long been used as a laboratory - the Israelis test weapons & then there is a spike in global demand for those weapons.

The breadth of denialism of the genocide of Palestinians is still astounding to me bc of just how much dehumanization it requires.

Never in history have we seen an extermination of a nation play out in front our eyes so explicitly and never has there been this breadth and effort put into denial.

If the bombs won’t kill them, if the starvation won’t kill them, if the injuries won’t kill them, if the bullets won’t kill them, if the diseases won’t kill them, if the lack of medical care won’t kill them.. the Israelis & Americans will find every other way to kill them.

After 14 months of this, you cannot find a single Palestinian who doesn’t carry a heavy sadness in their eyes.

Palestinians will exist, they will outlive their oppressors - but this much loss is unbearable for any nation and it should be unbearable for the rest of us too.

This is the expected trajectory of anti-migrant ideology that has been accelerating for the past decade. This is a continuation of policies that are rooted in post-2001 border & citizenship security politics.

Trump has every tool at his disposal to do this, empowered by the previous admins.
