It’s incredible for Trump to post an AI video showing him slobbing out with Netanyahu while Elon is made to like this. Has it gone so far that Elon runs Trump’s Truth Social account too now?

Visited a “progressive” congregation that is festooned with rainbows and all are welcomes.
Instead of being welcomed, the self-described “woman in charge” (a lay leader not the pastor) accosted me with “Can I HELP you?” As if I didn’t belong and wasn’t a visitor
I won’t be back.
Do better UCC.

An excellent article on the problems with Texas’s new Bible-based curriculum for elementary schools.

As a Jewish biblical scholar in Houston, I'm enraged that Texas is adopting this biblically illiterate new curriculum

New header image just dropped!

I took this photo and did the edit! It’s free to use without credit. It makes a great Bluesky header!

Let today’s Capitol Hill bathroom sit-in spark an era of radical defiance. Trans folks refuse to bow to hate and bigotry. We demand dignity and respect. We will fight like our ancestors. We are building with our elders and peers. And trans youth will inherit a better world.

Something that always falls flat with "civil unions were a stepping stone to marriage" stuff is that A) most places didn't have civil unions legal (only 3 by 2006), and B) Anti-gay laws proliferated after the first two states recognized them.

They didn't "help earn marriage equality" at all.
Ah but when you look at the historical example of gay marriage, the moderates who said civil unions were enough were wise and the extremists who wanted marriage equality were unnecessarily aggressive, and that is why the moderates won and gay people are content with only civil unions today
Also the Jeremy Peters piece has nothing to say on its own supposed terms—oh, a rights movement is a mix of accommodationists angling for compromise and more confrontational people demanding full empowerment, fascinating

For those looking for a good blocklist, this seems to be the definitive TERF blocklist out there.

If anyone has any other good blocklists for anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ hate accounts, share them here as well.

Do all gay funerals end with Somewhere over the rainbow (but also Rainbow Connection). In my experience, the ones I officiate always do, as well as ones I’ve attended. But a man yesterday who had lived through the worst of the AIDS crisis said he didn’t think so. If it’s not - what has been used?
