In Lisbon for the #GLAMWikiPT and have already been to amazing talks on #openknowledge and #education.

Great workshop on #gender with @yclepit.bsky.social.

Great tour of the Museum of Lisbon too!

The theme of #resilience seems particularly appropriate this year.

I will say that every experience I have had with Philosophy at the University of Birmingham has been inclusive and supportive, whether I have been there as a teacher, PhD student or as an ECR.

Women can't always say that... so thank-you.

We cannot change the profession all at once, in one big sweep. But we can create a few spaces where things work as we would want them to. Hoping that people notice that good is possible and our micro-utopias catch on. #philsky #academicsky

Excited to share this as I start my new role as Education Lead for Wikimedia UK.

I will be developing a programme of information literacy in schools aligned to WUK values of knowledge equity, representation and critical thinking as fake news and misrepresentation become increasingly prevalent.
We’re delighted to share Wikimedia UK’s Strategic Report for 2024/25. Our latest report highlights stories of impact, external evaluation findings, and the voices of our communities as we continue shaping a more open and informed society.

My latest review for @schoolreadinglist.bsky.social.

I've certainly been challenging my own preconceptions about graphic novels for kids. They can be an excellent way to engage reluctant readers and improve literacy.
