What we know is that the Chancellor was modelling over 100 different measures to see the impact and consequences.

Modelling them doesn't mean they were actively considering them. It means they were getting the full picture that any decent Chancellor would do.

Now just wait for Budget Day.

This Bond Market nonsense is economic incompetence. Plans are either good or not on their own merits, & shouldn't be tied to speculative & volatile metrics.

The first thing to do is to make provisions to take them out of the equation by changing the structures/feedback that rely on them.
Two things seem to be true this morning -
1/ That the politics of breaking the manifesto pledge was too difficult
2/ Reeves has received much more optimistic forecasts, likely to he wage growth and inflation related

The combination means they can reverse their plans

and turning it around for labour means being a normal govt that polls in the 40s, where reform could never dream of reaching. they *could* do that. but i don't think they will. my expectations are just really low for even the decent labour MPs.
