Sad to hear about the passing of acting legend Robert Redford. Before he was a member of the New York Knights, photographer Steve Schapiro captured Redford playing baseball in Central Park with his son and daughter.

The SABR Pictorial blog has a new article, "Which Game Did You See?" by @zinnbeck.bsky.social. It examines a photograph previously identified as the 1943 World Series and the step-by-step research used to determine that it is not from 1943 nor the World Series.

There were only two Old Judge cards produced of Cap Anson, however there were five made of Walter Bogart in 1888. Walter who? The Bogart cards stand out for two reasons. One, the images show us the…

The historic Dave Hoskins photo that wasn’t

Let's face it. When it comes to photos, the Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, and Willie Mays fans have it easy. A pic of the Babe pitching? No problem, take your pick! How about the Hammer hawking breakfast cereal? Sure, we've got that too! Or the Say Hey Kid…

Let's face it. When it comes to photos, the Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, and Willie Mays fans have it easy. A pic of the Babe pitching? No problem, take your pick! How about the Hammer hawking breakfast cereal? Sure, we've got that too! Or the Say Hey Kid making an incredible catch? Where do we even begin! Of course, when the player of interest is a bit more obscure, finding that perfect photo can feel like a miracle.
