man, “scavengers reign” was an awesome show! beautiful, eerie world-building. well-animated, well-written, well-acted. shame it just got the one season, but it ended well. maybe they had a premonition, hah… surprised i haven’t heard of it before now

I feel like I buried the lede. Here's the bathroom on the R/P FLIP, which rotates 90° & floods to produce a stable instrument platform.

The toilet swivels.

But honestly, you should see the *kitchen*.

why’d they call it “pinery” when the park is marked out by its unusual sand dune ecosystems, diverse forests, massive white sand and smooth pebble beach fronts, and rare oak savannah?

packed my kei truck and arrived at pinery after dark — camping with my kids and my sister and her kids this weekend. so far so good! cool, dry night and a forecast of sunny and 20C tomorrow!

Wichita Falls, TX was at the center of an oil boom in 1912, and the sleepy town of 5K grew by 30K in a year.

Housing & office space was at a premium (most were in open tents), so a petroleum land speculator, J.D. McMahon...

bringing a whole new meaning to "disney villain"
Disney is arguing that a man can't sue over the wrongful death of his wife because, in November 2019, he used his PlayStation to sign up for a free trial of Disney+ 🙃

If you're wondering 'how could they even think that,' the answer is 'bc of the Supreme Court'

Disney Says Disney+ Terms of Service Mean Man Can’t Sue Over His Wife’s Wrongful Death
If a megacorporation is making a shockingly amoral legal argument, the Supreme Court is usually to blame.
