Nigel Farage is unveiling legislation to leave the ECHR.

His arguments are wrong – and that move would be a disaster. @goodlawproject.bsky.social have the facts:

In Glasgow, there is a 224-year waiting list for gender clinic appointments.

224 YEARS.

This is institutionalised discrimination. It's unacceptable, it's ruining people's lives and it needs to change.

We have the solution. Time for politicians to act.

Trans rights are human rights. The Virgin Active ban for trans people fundamentally undermines rights. How is this NOT discrimination against the trans community? I thought more of Richard Branson and the Virgin brands.

Harvard can't use someone's race to decide if they are going to be a student, but ICE can use a student's race to decide if they are going to detain/incarcerate them.

According to the Supreme Court, race can only be a factor if you want hurt, not help, someone.

The recent Royal Academy masterplan scheme by David Chipperfield Architects (& Julian Harrap) were “the Goldilocks scheme: not too hot, not too cold, but just right.” With prior schemes having even too understated or too bold

The Paradox of Tolerance

“Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance.”

If a society tolerates intolerance, it risks destruction.

“We should, in the name of tolerance, claim the right not to tolerate the intolerant.”

Reasons to follow later.
In mindblowing news, the EHRC's landlord, it seems at the EHRC's behest, is trying to injunct protestors from protesting outside the EHRC's offices.

We will be in Court today making an emergency attempt to resist the injunction. www.crowdjustice.com/case/protect...

The answer is: Government would rather stiff the bill paying public than upset the big foreign funds that own the water companies and whose greed landed us with this problem.

They want those funds to do more of the private ownership of public assets that created this problem in the first place. 🤦🏻
