NSS headline in NYT: As Mamdani Surges Ahead, Schumer Risks Finding Himself Left Behind
November 6, 2025 at 1:14 PM
I’m guessing this is not an original opinion, but when we seek accountability for the excessively violent altercations between federales and citizens, I hope these are state charges and not federal charges.

I'm super curious what Jack Smith is able to bring up while defending himself. It feels like this gives him an opportunity to sort of advance the case he was trying to bring against Trump last year, right?

I also hope she doesn’t get swept up by ice and thrown into a cell for 30 days without any notice to family.

Such a misleading headline. The point is that if you drive long distances then (of course) you minimize the $ and environmental gains of a battery. If you do a lot of short trips, you maximize those gains.

Just did a quick scan of FoxNews front page and there is a shocking pic of the Iowa superintendent who was "caught with a weapon!" Um, isn't our gov encouraging school staff to come to school armed to thwart attacks by radical [right wing] shooters?

Cuomo trying to throw shade at Mamdani is just pathetic. It is Cuomo hoisting the white flag and saying, "I have nothing to offer, but you should be scared of this guy because he's different."

If Noem is upset that a frustrated civilian, who was wearing a T-shirt and shorts, threw a sandwich at the chest of a well armed and padded officer, just wait until she sees footage of the January 6 insurrection.
August 14, 2025 at 12:33 PM
I don’t think the man who threw a sandwich at federal officers thought it was funny. He seemed quite agitated. I suspect all right thinking Americans are agitated that Noem did not say she was going to take a bite out of crime.

I hate sensationalist headlines like this. On avg, these workers will get something like 6k each. Yeah, if I had done a ton of *underpaid* dangerous work during COVID I'd be happy to get a $6k check 5 years later, too. It ain't $1M.
