MAKE ME BETTER is my forthcoming novel about the horrors of community. It is about cults, wellness, control, and the things we will do to escape grief.

My mental health is absolutely horrendous today, but I had to come into work. So I dragged myself out into the sunshine (it's 80 today in Los Angeles), got some takeout sushi and sat for a while in the park to eat it. All solo. Which I'm usually afraid of. I'm still feeling bad, but less bad. A win.

Really. At least we think so. Can't hurt to try, can it? Stay as long as you like. There's nineteen years of stories, many in audio too. Just don't forget to stop to eat and drink and sleep and take care of yourself. And when you're ready, go back to the real world and fight your monsters or just breathe. You can come back any time. I suppose I should stop rambling now. I apologize for the lack of a screaming possum in this ad, but trust that it is there in spirit.

Finished THE STAIRCASE IN THE WOODS by @chuckwendig.bsky.social and all I can coherently say is that it got me. Right in the feels. I don't like to compare books often, but this book is right on par with how I always feel after an IT re-read. 😭 Loved it.
