We look at harassers' decisions to employ female attorneys to fortify their arguments. Fun fact: people do not respond positively to these strategic moves.

The thing about partisan gerrymanders is that if you cut them too close, a wave election for the other party flips almost all those seats. 👇🏻
Confident Texas Republicans *diluted* solid GOP districts in order to redraw the state's congressional map to gain five seats. Tonight's results in Virginia should have them nervous.

When the Democratic tent includes candidates like Spanberger and Mamdani, there is no crisis, or fight, for the party. IT’S A COALITION, NOT A POINT ESTIMATE.
i want to repeat this: mamdani and spanberger have run similar campaigns tailored to their respective electorates and it is maddening to watch political journalists attempt to create some broad contrast where none exist
the other thing about this is that there is no reason to pit these candidates against each other? each are good fits for their respective electorates and each shows the value of vigorous campaigns focused on the stated material problems of voters.

The range increments of a full subway sandwich are only 10/20 so you have disadvantage on your throw more than a few paces away. You can double the range with a half-sandwich wrapped tightly and druis have a fifth-level subclass feature that removes disadvantage if the sandwich has sprouts
It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

It also never hurts to remind racists like this that that legendary British culinary classic the Ploughman’s Lunch was invented by a marketing board in the 1950s to subsidize British dairy farmers by increasing cheese consumption.

Have fun with their ignorance and delusions.

I want to see this. And do agree that Orwell feels prophetic. But it is important to also note he wasn't trying to predict the future, but reacting to his present time. It feels prophetic because we forget (ironically enough) that this has happened before. Its not "new", we were made to forget.
1. Last weekend, I went to Hartford to see the new documentary about the life and work of George Orwell. It’s called 2+2=5. I’m familiar with his work, especially his essays. Even so, something new popped out at me and I wanted to share it.

Every other federal judge has a larger docket, generates greater output, doesn't take summers off, and manages to properly issue preliminary decisions without creating this confusion.
Amy Coney Barrett defends heavy use of the shadow docket: "If we wrote a long opinion, it might give the impression that we have finally resolved the issue, and in none of these cases have we finally resolved the issue."

I guess my point here is that MAGA has become totally unashamed to admit that they are racist, but somehow the rest of society has become ashamed to call them racist. Which gives them this incredible advantage of being able to express openly racist ideas and never be called on it
Ask Matt Walsh what the Founders and the first oh 200 years of America thought about Catholics. Total bigoted dumbass. Shame that Dearborn Michigan sided with him in protest.
