Welp, gonna start on The American Revolution/Ep 2 soon tonight. Was undecided about continuing but it looks like lots of #HATM are on & commenting. Am not sure I'd ever keep up well with live comments (maybe I'll try for Ep 3?), but at least I'll be quasi-current if I review tonight!

That appears so unprofessional - no barriers evident to protect the rest of the WH? Would love to know how many reviews required for any building and more so for a historical structure were bypassed or pencil-whipped. 1/

As someone with 30+ years in heavy industry including chemicals, I'd like to think major corporations now have an ingrained culture to protect the environment (& workers), but know otherwise and suspect some good cultures will erode without appropriate regulatory oversight.
I watched the American Experience documentary on Love Canal last night. A poignant reminder of the continued need for environmental regulation. This is a story that I will definitely have to add the next time I teach the survey course. www.pbs.org/wgbh/america...
