It's three years this week since the UK media reported that 1000 families were going to sue the Tavistock (Gender Identity Clinic) for medical mispractice. There wasn't one "family", let alone 1000. It was clear, at the time, that it was bullshit propaganda, and even clearer now. 1/

A policy that benefited the richest and cost the UK £100bn: it's long past time to end the fuel duty freeze | Larry Elliott
Successive chancellors have steered clear of increasing taxes for motorists for 15 years, but this should be a no-brainer for cash-strapped Rachel Reeves, says Guardian columnist Larry Elliott

In a landmark ruling, a UK judge has upheld the public’s right to submit dashcam and helmet-cam footage to police, after a retired solicitor attempted to sue a cyclist who filmed her using a mobile phone while driving.

Not sure I would blame NR directly for this, but we definitely need to get to grips with underhand 'engagement' tactics like this from agencies or they will undermine the whole process of citizen participation in decision-making.
Network Rail is a shit show and the idea of it being the core of Great British Railways consigns the railway to a future of crappy culture.
Good grief - looks like Network Rail* has been deliberately deceiving people into submitting comments on a planning portal in support of its Liverpool St plans. Totally unacceptable for a public body. www.victoriansociety.org.uk/national-new...

I's so f***ing annoyed with myself. I had managed to avoid FB for years, but needed to promote a local event for the @fhsoc.bsky.social so put a tiny £ amount into promotion there.

The result, because they required my mobile number for authentication, is nothing but sp*m calls to my mobile - daily.

Right I'm so pissed off that we've got London MPs trying to hijack the Local Buses Bill (which is supposed to be about STUFF OUTSIDE LONDON for a change) to try to ban London / all floating bus stops (utter nonsense), that I've stayed up late writing evidence for the committee. Join me! Link ⬇️
Here's another one near Yarnton. Is the mother I met today who cycles here with her baby supposed to divert into the A44? How?

Come and see what bus stops exist outside London before making amendments which could honestly kill children in my division.

if you hadn't heard, there's currently a proposal in Parliament to ban floating bus stops. if it succeeds, it will kill the delivery of safe cycling in cities in the UK stone dead. Mark's submission here illustrates this in detail. I urge everyone to ask their MP to oppose it unequivocally
As promised, my written evidence is now on the @cityinfinity.bsky.social website blog. It has also been acknowledged by Parliamentary support.

I hope you understand why I have unusually disabled replies.
