I watched Season 2 of The Wire that aired in 2003, so yeah, I think you could say I'm well informed about the issues facing longshoremen in 2024.

Literally all I can think about is that bit from The Day Today where Chris Morris goads the guest into declaring war on tv.

I’m enjoying the implosion of Diddy, as a person who has deeply loathed him. He has a fundamental detestability about him. I hope he is made very very poor.

if there’s a continent-wide war in the Middle East, whose side does everyone think the Allies from 1939-45, those guys, will be on? this kind of defines who wins the narrative for a long time. there’ll be VE days and shit.

Raise your hand if you've had the "rude" label applied to you while defending your marginalized identity against an abusive person 🙋🏻‍♀️

The "rude" label should not exist. It is *subjective* and easily weaponized by bigots and bad actors. Suspension based on rude labels is going to CAUSE HARM.

People move, always have, always will.

The only way to stop people taking dangerous journeys is to let them take safe ones.

Most people fleeing for their lives have no safe way to claim asylum in the UK - that’s why people escaping war and persecution are arriving by small boat.

This will not stop deaths for those forced by U.K. and European policies with no option.

The middle-class policy makers belief that everyone can just ‘choose’ their way to a golden future and safety is complete bunkum
