Smdh at Sinclair. THIS is exactly why so many of us have for years and decades spoken up against media consolidation.
Well, there it is. Sinclair is digging in for a fight, so please help push back -- find stations in your area, watch their local news to see what ads they run, then write those advertisers to tell them you're boycotting as long as they're on a Sinclair station.

As @davidkurtz.bsky.social notes, this case has been a test of whether our system can withstand levels of bad faith and abuses of power that seem designed to strain the law's very ability to function.

I hope this thread demonstrates how unfathomably terrible their conduct has truly been. 11/11

TPM notes the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is increasingly relying on "imputed" data—estimates—rather than actual price collection for calculating inflation. While modeling and imputation can improve accuracy in hard-to-reach areas (like with the Census), they aren’t a substitute for raw data.

It is extremely important. It’s the bedrock of self-expression.

Oklahoma receives about $3 billion more in federal spending than it pays in federal taxes. That's nearly $8,000 per Oklahoman--only 9 states have a higher per capita balance of payments. Subsidies from MA, NJ, WA, CA, and a few others are how OK remains a "low tax state."
