4 frame comic. A guy with a shirt with Rando written on it tells the author : so tired of hearing the left talk about fascism. it feels so disrespectful to compARE WHAT'S HAPPEning in the u.s. to the millions of victims of Nazi Germany. She replies : you seem to think that the death camps happened overnight, but it was a multi- decades long crescendo, filled with people telling the regime critics to stop overreacting. by its nature, the only moment you can call out fascist rhetoric is before fascism is fully up and running. I'd rather speak up early and be wrong than not saying anything and my silence be complicit. considering how in its first year, this u.s. admin has already caused 625k+ public man- made deaths* by terminating USAID progams and disappeared thousands of migrants, I'd say their contempt for human life should give anyone legitimate reasons to be worried. They’d throw a fully transitioned, fully passing trans woman in male prison genpop and laugh as she got aids from being raped. I want a middle ground on so many of these policies. BUT THE FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEM IS THEY DO NOT. They enjoy degrading us, it’s fun for them. So, sisters. I genuinely don’t know what to do. I think many of our most extreme ideas are bad. But theirs are worse. So if I have to pick, I choose us. I wish there were a political vehicle for compromise and medical safeguarding. "What does antifa do?" My personal experience with antifa.
4 frame comic. 1st frame shows the silhouette of a protest. text reads : anti-fascism isn't just about wearing cool scarves and ski goggles. when terfs* announced that they were organizing a protest at a library I was speaking at, they showed up and outnumbered the terfs. 2nd frame shows the silhouette of someone at a computer. text reads : it's antifa geeks monitoring alt-right online groups who told me that they found my address, 8 years ago. I could get to safety and make sure nothing happened, thanks to them. 3rd frame shows the antifa logo. text reads : it's an undercover antifa who told me Proud boys were planning to crash a library talk I was giving. they still did it, but we could prepare accordingly and the talk went as planned. 4th frame shows a protest with a "good night white pride" banner. text reads : it's a whole squad of anti- fascists who showed up to keep a neo-nazi group at bay from a family event I was speaking at. they stayed until the end to accompany participants to their car or all the way to their home. the police was aware of the threat but didn't do sh*t.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

Who is Carl Schmitt, the authoritarian political theorist that the New Right and the Neocons are obsessed with?
before being the obsession of peter thiel and every favourite podcaster of your incel cousin, schmitt was the jurist who came up with the theoretical legal foundation for the nazi party's power grab and subsequent atrocities. he wrote: "sovereign is he who decides on the exception." he believed that constitutional democracies were facades for the total power of the execu- tive, since the legislative was powerless during exceptional times. schmitt also wrote about the friend-enemy distinction, which he saw as the basis of the politic. people are sorted into groups, either with you or against you, in a struggle for survival. big incel vibes, I know. in his view, liberalism challenged that "natural order" by restricting the power of the executive and by easing the distinctions with enemy groups, which he thought led to social paralysis and racial decay.

Under pressure from Texas government officials, Angelo State University in Texas is banning all discussion or mention of the existence of trans people along with banning the LGBTQ pride flag from campus and forced misgendering of trans people.

1. Trump threatened every hospital that provides gender affirming care to transgender youth.

Many complied and shut down their programs.

Boston Children's Hospital didn't. They fought back and kept providing care.

I have a huge request for my readers: Trump's tax and spending bill will be moving through the Senate. Senators can invoke the Byrd Rule to try to remove the anti-trans Medicaid ban and EHB changes.
