Just got back from watching "One Battle After Another" to find a feed full of videos of ICE raids in the US and Badenoch promising to introduce it here. Whatever horror you put on film can't beat reality.

To my Jewish friends, Tzom kal (“Easy fast”) this Yom Kippur. I’ll be with you in shul tonight and tomorrow.

And to my friends with a devotion to St. Francis, may we have a blessed Transitus, followed by the feast of St. Francis on Saturday. Anyone have a blessing of the animals planned for Sun.?

Jane Goodall made the world a better place.

She helped shape how we view the world around us, fought vehemently for the environment, and her love of chimpanzees was infectious. She will be greatly missed.

A great privilege to be at Castel Gandolfo for the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ ecological encyclical Laudato Si. What an impact it has had for how we care for our common home. But more to do! This afternoon we were addressed by Pope Leo and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

RIP Jane Goodall, who has died at 91.

She was a gentle disrupter who reshaped how we understand our place in nature. Her research with chimpanzees revolutionized science, and her boundless optimism touched the world.

This novel is already a bestseller, which is not at all why I reviewed it. I reviewed it because it’s an important book about spiritual practice.

Graham Greene once said that the marks of a Christian civilization were 'the divided mind, the uneasy conscience.' In that case, we must indeed be post-Christian.

Nigel Farage & Alex Phillips have been awfully quiet about Nathan Gill pleading guilty to eight counts of bribery relating to pro-Russia statements made in European parliament and articles.

Just wanted to refresh their memories about how they were all a team through that period.

How can it be beyond BBC News?

I can only think of three reasons why a church leader who ought to be trustworthy would say something like this. Either they are deluded, they’ve been paid, or they are brainwashed. I increasingly think it is a kind of brainwashing.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan on Fox & Friends on Charlie Kirk: "This guy is a modern day St Paul. He was a missionary, he's an evangelist, he's a hero. He's one I think that knows what Jesus meant when he said 'the truth will set you free.'"
