states would be well within their rights at this point to legislate standards for how law enforcement officers identify themselves and impose criminal penalties on violators. if the feds think that dressing up like Proud Boys is essential to their mission, let them litigate.

The fight going on in the Democratic Party right now is not between hard left, left and moderate. It’s between those who want to fight and those who want to cave. And Team Fight stretches across all ideological aspects of the Party. Misread this at your own peril.

Chuck Schumer has demonstrated that he does not understand how to lead an opposition party. This vote is an affront to the millions of people across the country who are fighting like hell to protect democracy.
They’re mocking the Dems now

The Iowa GOP advanced a bill making it a misdemeanor for a healthcare provider to administer a Covid vaccine.

Even when a person has requested a Covid vaccine.

For decades the left focused myopically on federal elections while the right laid the groundwork for controlling the government by taking control of state legislatures and courts. The ground game is in the states. Run for school board! Run for town council! Run! That is how we take back power.
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Black women and Jewish women.

I'm talking about feeling it in the cells, our bones. Like, making emergency exit plans.

I'm not trying to be hyperbolic, just saying the truth.

Pro-democracy reforms would not only grant the District of Columbia representation in Congress, it would protect the LGBTQ+ community in DC from the whims of bigoted out-of-towners like Mace.
Mace’s bill to ban transgender people from using bathrooms that align with their gender identity appears to extend to DC libraries, rec centers & potentially, DC public schools, which have been at the forefront of advocacy for LGBTQ+ students.
