Russian YANTAR (IMO 7524419) was observed on Nov 2, 2025, just outside Belgian territorial waters. The vessel was positioned close to the Atlantic Crossing‑1 (AC‑1) and IOEMA Fibre submarine cable corridors, consistent with previous patterns of cable monitoring activity attributed to this platform.

The Danish warship P520 is tracking the Russian vessels Stoiky (545) and Yelna en route to the Mediterranean. Their movement may signal a rotation or reinforcement of Russia’s naval assets currently operating in the region.

The Russian cargo ship *LADY D* (IMO 9349289) has left St. Petersburg and is exiting the Baltic Sea toward the North Sea and Gibraltar. At 9.5 knots, it should reach Gibraltar around November 13–14, likely en route to India, possibly stopping in Oran.

Russian cargo vessel LAUGA (IMO 9111060) last reported inland Russia en route to St. Petersburg. Earlier showed suspicious movements in the Mediterranean, near the Ionian Sea and Gibraltar. Current track suggests possible Black Sea or Caspian destination via inland routes.

North Sea Update 🌊
AIS data shows Danish warship P520 (MMSI 220431000) sailing at 11.9 kts near Russian tug RN NEPTUNE (IMO 1090351), currently en route to Murmansk at 4.3 kts, ETA Nov 4.
Their close proximity in the North Sea warrants attention amid ongoing NATO–Russia maritime dynamics.

RN NEPTUNE is currently sailing through the Baltic Sea en route to Murmansk, Russia, at a steady 7.8 knots. Built in 2025 and flying the Russian flag, the tug is expected to arrive on November 4 at 10:00, continuing its northbound passage toward the Barents region in the coming days.

Container ship AYA 1 (Panama flag) departed Port Raysut, Oman on 16 Oct 2025 and is en route to Benghazi, Libya, ETA 29 Oct 2025. Currently transiting the Red Sea at 7.7 knots.
The destination port, under LNA (Haftar) control, suggests a possible transfer of material or supplies to LNA-held areas.

International waters = The Russians operate there legally, even if one doesn't like it or seems suspicious because it's outside of previous patterns.

Many of the choke points here had close to permanent presence of Warsaw Pact ships, predominantly AGIs, for most of the Cold War.
