What’s somehow worse about the feds DEI purge is they’re now starting to market and legitimize the “LGB without the T” movement. Fear, plus the government painting trans folks officially as the odd ones out will give a lot of folks permission to be apathetic or to be their worst. Love your neighbor.
‼️ The State Department has REMOVED TQIA+ on their page of recommendations for queer travelers. This page yesterday said "LGBTQIA+" and now just says "LGB".

🚨 PSA: If you are trans, do NOT mail in your passport to attempt to change your gender marker. The State Department is currently collecting them unchanged and will not give a public timeline for returning them. You could be without a passport indefinitely.

As a lifelong Floridian, after fighting against Dr. Ladapo’s anti-Trans policies and living through their impacts, this is a terrifying possibility I hope doesn’t come to pass. Sadly, I think it’s very likely.
Politico is reporting Trump will name Dr. Ladapo of Florida to a senior spot, likely Surgeon General or Assistant HHS.
This would be a horrifying pick for trans people. He's responsible for Florida's adult trans ban, and works with SEGM/Anti-trans global movement.
He's also an ardent anti-vaxxer.
