80 yrs ago today, the Soviet army freed ~7K prisoners from Auschwitz, the nazi extermination camp. Sadly, this moment came too late for over 1 million victims. I keep looking at this pic & wondering “How far away are we from history repeating itself?” I hope it’s far away but it feels way too close.

Today, we lament for the lives taken by those who refused to see them as God's beloved children. May we confess our silence, complicity, and bigotry, and through Jesus' grace, be transformed to lovingly affirm all gender identities as fully known and loved by God. #TransDayOfRemembrance
