Retired CEO who cares about people and public services. We can do much better

In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.

Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.
While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant per person of £10tn.

That's how privatisation 'works'.

I smile at the objections of those that can afford it about losing the winter fuel payment. Much talk about winter holidays follows.

Waiting lists too long, mental health and social care inadequate they say.

Who will pay for improvements? Anyone other than them I think

It’s only the movies but when very rich people control space launches, satellites and the media the good guys fight back. Is that correct Mr Bond?

We all know the country is bankrupt. NI was cynically reduced for employees by the Tories to buy votes Labour made the mistake of promising no tax increases for the working man.

So here we are the world we live in.
Everyone wants better services but no one wants to pay.

Checkmate or what?

The time bomb that’s ticking is Social Care.

It cannot be tackled without funding, that has to come from tax increases. Tough as it maybe even Boris Johnson was intent on Putins up NI to fund it.

Time to be tough and explain. The problem and why tax needs to go up to fund it.
