Mo Yan or Yan Mo?
How about westerners spell Asian names with a comma like in library databases: Mo, Yan. That way I'd know immediately which one is the family name and it'll be in the order that East Asians prefer.
Currently, we put Chinese family names first but Japanese ones last: Hayao Miyazaki.

Finland should reverse winter and summer times. For us it's pointless to have one more hour of sunlight at night, the sun setting at midnight instead of 11 pm.
Instead, it would be nice in winter to have a sunset at 4 pm instead of 3 pm.

Genetically engineered babies will happen at some point. There will be some nation that does not outlaw it and people will travel there to get blond and blue-eyed children. Or something.
