Haven’t posted here in a while, but hoping to get back into the habit starting with these humming birds from a couple of weeks ago. I think these are my favorite garnishes I have ever made.

The cocktail was an Elder Fashioned riff with a little bit of grenadine.

If you’re ever in DC, I highly recommend Silver Lyan! Really creative menu, fantastic drinks, and super friendly staff. This was my first drink: spirit forward, but a little tart, a little savory, and the candied pinecone was a nice touch! #cheers 🍸

New garnish video!

This one is one that I use most on a day to day basis, and honestly most of the garnishes I post are just some variation on this template.

I got a bunch of AoT references from my (unintentional) wings of freedom garnish, so I thought I’d try a Naruto themed one this time.

This time, a garnish idea for cocktails served over a large cube.

Here’s the latest garnish video. I had to break it into 2 parts again.

@bsky.app, can we get 90 second videos pls? 🙏

I felt like this garnish belonged on a Paper Plane riff. This one was created in 2018 by Callum Rixson at Hideout in Bath, England:

Last Flight

3/4oz Bourbon
3/4oz Aperol
3/4oz Green Chartreuse
3/4oz Lemon Juice

Shake with ice, strain into chilled coupe, and garnish with lemon peel.

How to make this lime peel garnish.

I had to break this into two parts as a thread because BlueSky doesn’t allow videos longer then 60 seconds, and I couldn’t get it any shorter.

I had lots of lemons, so this week’s garnish video is a lemon peel garnish that starts out similar to last week’s, but goes in a different direction that I find to be a little less finicky.

Take 2 on the garnish video I posted earlier this week. Hopefully this one is a little easier to follow.

Weekly-ish garnish video:

I came up with this as a more intricate option that still doesn’t require a giant swath of an orange or grapefruit peel.

I’d love feedback on whether I should redo this one. I’m not sure if it’s too hard to follow the twisting part.

Another easy garnish idea for valentines day. I’m keeping with the heart theme here but making it just a little more interesting.

This week’s garnish is an easy heart-shaped citrus peel for Valentine’s Day.

I’m going to try to start posting these garnish videos weekly, mostly just to force myself to keep trying out new ones.

This one is an easy, kinda funky garnish that works well with smaller peels like limes.

A simple way to elevate your lemon twist. I got a few questions about how I make this garnish on the r/cocktails subreddit, so I figured it was time for another video.

Two variations of a Silk Road Sour, a #cocktail by Timothy Carrol of the East Room in London.

1/2oz tobala mezcal
1/2oz lemon juice
1/3oz maple syrup
3 slices muddled cucumber
