So I know Tractor Supply sucks, but they are also the only place in my area with an open self serve pet wash and my new foster dog really needed a bath and it was less than $10 so we went there. It was chaos and we won't be back, but I thought I'd fill out their survey anyways. 1/2

There was an educational talk at work today. A foreign policy expert rold an audience of over a hundred people that basically we as a country are fucked and said more boomers need to die to make space (?) and at least 4 people screamed out "WE ARE TRYING"

I watched #EmiliaPerez tonight and omg it's bad. So confused as to why it was a musical because even the music isn't good
The Oscars love Emilia Pérez. Why does everyone else hate it? | CBC News
Emilia Pérez led Oscar nominations on Thursday, pulling in a record-setting 13 nods. That's despite widespread criticism of the film as transphobic and racist.

If they really wanted to unsettle people they'd have the crowd go completely silent. Way creepier.

I feel nauseated. Write to your local library boards and tell them how important a diverse collection is to you! To your community. Staff do it CONSTANTLY but the public voice carries the most weight. Do it now even if you think your public library doesn’t need it. It does. They all need you.

Listening to the people behind me at this hockey game talk about how trashy you are if you have a neck tattoo...had to smile at them so they could see mine goes all the way around

One thing before tomorrow:

Use your local libraries.

Get your card.

Borrow books, manga, films, audios, ebooks.

Recommend titles for purchase (usually online).

Attend promoted activities.

Fill out those "How are we doing?" questionnaires.

Tell your kids that libraries are good.

They are.

Wake Up And Open Your Eyes by @claymcleod.bsky.social is the least subtle book I've ever read but that's okay because these aren't subtle times. It is also genuinely terrifying and impossible to put down. Maybe my biggest book recommendation in a long time.

Stabbed myself tonight on purpose by order of my doctor and man, for a person with multiple tattoos I really don't like needles. I assume I'll get used to it but why did it feel like this?!
